I live in a faraway meadow
With laughing brooks and dragonflies,
In a green wood with songbirds,
With crows calling for rain,
And white cloud shapes shadows passing.
I dwell in this place in my mind;
You can find me there
If you ever care to visit,
I’ll be the one lying on his back
On the flowered hill;
Dreaming like a cat,
Waiting for a friend.
