Summer’s Gold

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by frost.

~ J. R. R. Tolkien, Lord of the Rings

And now that my kettle has boiled, I’m off to read some more LOTR as we speak. πŸ˜‰

Sounds like a wonderful plan for my own winter down time!!

Definitely a good idea. It’s a perfect rainy day today here for it too!

You are in Australia, rite? So that means it’s late winter there, whilst up here it is getting on to late summer…

Exactly. Currently a top of 16c max which is cold for here. I like winter though.

I like it too, it’s nice to have a 3 or 4 month “break” from a lot of hard work outdoors, even if the weather is really cold. Last winter we had the worst weather here in 20 yrs or more, not a lot of snow but temps way below zero, 25 degrees F. below once or twice, which has not happened in forever… No one likes that unless you’re a Polar bear! I do enjoy milder winters though πŸ™‚

No, because I don’t use a mobile device, but I do heartily wish I had a good smartphone, what fun it would be on the road or during slow times at work, hehehe πŸ˜‰ I have seen pretty sunsets or rainbows at work from their parking lot and I was like awwww geeez! because I had no way to shoot a photo 😦

Rain? What’s that? LOL – Been so long since we in my area have enjoyed a good rain, I almost forgot what it’s like! But that’s typical in summer…
