Little stone house

This odd little one-room house (which looks like a toy house in these pix, but it is full size) has been on a neighbor’s property forever, who knows for how long? Each time I see it I wonder, who built it and why, and what was it for? I rarely see these neighbors, but next time I do, I will ask…

Tricky little house – can’t be for little fairies or elfs as the door is human sized – what a pity!
    Intriguing though.

It certainly is intriguing. I have never found the answer to the mystery of this little stone house! It is also odd that from a little distance (such as close to the main house where I shot the pic with the bridge) the house looks smaller than it actually is.

Yeah! Hey there, Isabella! How cool would that be, for someone to build a little stone house like the one in my photos, way off in another distant land! I still have no clue what that little house was for…but the mystery is part of its charm, I think…!
