Yes, I’m still alive…LOL…just been doing some poking around and exploring fractal software and such stuff. Many of the programs are beyond my limited understanding, and huge learning curves are sometimes required. Not good for someone who doesn’t have a lot of free time on their hands.
Anyway. One of my favorite small fractal programs is still Fractal Explorer; it has no new upgrades and it’s even getting tough to find directions on how to use it. But I’ve seen a few tuts around (before they disappeared) and so it is possible to create quite beautiful artwork if you possess an extra hour or two for play, and enough patience to try and try again…
I’m learning a bit more about how to generate Quaternions with Fractal Explorer. You don’t need to be a math genius or formula expert, it just requires a bit of fiddling around…the only prob is, the preview window is tiny…
These are my latest results…an abstract with two versions (can’t seem to get it to fit the frame w/o making it smaller than I’d prefer), a perfume bottle, and an object that could be a jar, or a pot…I like images that look like thrown pottery.
